Pancasila dan Gereja: Implikasi dalam Bernegara di Indonesia

Abstract

Pancasila is the basis of the state for all Indonesian people with social, cultural, and religious backgrounds, including Christianity. The problem is the church, which is the symbol of Christianity; there are pros and cons when the church needs to participate in the state (politics) in Indonesia. Some Christians believe that the church does not need to be active, and some need to be active in the state (politics). The purpose of this paper is to explain what Pancasila is and what the implications of church involvement in the state in Indonesia are. The method used is a literature review of theological ethical studies. The result of this research is that the church and the state have their respective duties and roles and support each other based on the values of Pancasila.   Abstrak Pancasila adalah dasar negara bagi seluruh rakyat Indonesia yang memiliki latar belakang sosial, budaya, dan agama, termasuk kekristenan. Persoalannya, gereja yang menjadi lambang kekristenan terjadi terjadi pro dan kontra, ketika gereja apakah perlu berpartisipasi dalam bernegara (politik) di Indonesia. Ada sebagian umat Kristen berpandangan bahwa gereja tidak perlu aktif dan Sebagian perlu aktif dalam bernegara (berpolitik). Tujuan penulisan ini adalah menjelaskan apakah Pancasila dan bagaimana implikasinya keterlibatan gereja dalam bernegara di Indonesia. Metode yang digunakan adalah literature review dalam kajian etis teologis. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa gereja dan negara memiliki tugas dan peranannya masing-masing dan saling menopang yang dilandasi nilai-nilai Pancasila.
