Abstrak

This study discusses true honesty as one of the fundamental moral and spiritual values in human life, focusing on the relationship with God. The main issue addressed is the high level of dishonesty in social life and how authentic honesty can be realized through a deep faith experience. The urgency of this research lies in understanding honesty not only as an ethical norm but as a result of an authentic spiritual relationship with God, which has received less attention. The novelty of this study lies in the integration of theological, psychological, and pastoral counseling perspectives to portray honesty as a holistic calling that connects personal, relational, and communal aspects within the life of faith. The research method employed is a literature review with a qualitative approach, encompassing biblical sources, moral development theories, and pastoral counseling practices. The results indicate that true honesty reflects the character of God manifested through the transformation of the Holy Spirit in the lives of believers. This honesty is not merely a moral obligation but also a profound expression of faith, enabling life integrity and restoration in pastoral counseling, as well as serving as a prophetic witness within the church and society.
